Development Studies

The Development Studies course provides a multidisciplinary understanding of the economic, social, and political processes that shape development in societies, with a strong emphasis on African and global perspectives. It explores key issues such as poverty, inequality, governance, sustainability, education, health, and community development.

Learners will examine the challenges and opportunities facing developing countries and analyse the role of governments, NGOs, international organisations, and local communities in promoting sustainable development. The course combines theory with practical case studies, enabling learners to understand development in real-world contexts.

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
